O ALCATRAZ é um festival de tunas organizado pelos Gatunos que ocorre, habitualmente, em meados de abril de cada ano.
Dá nome ao festival a mais famosa das prisões, sendo que a fantasia da tuna anda em volta do seu nome e ao que a ele se associa.
Graficamente, esta edição simboliza a fuga dos prisioneiros (os metralhas), representada por um navio inspirado na nau de Vila do Conde que, juntamente com a Póvoa de Varzim, é uma das cidades que viu esta tuna nascer.
ALCATRAZ is a tuna festival organised by the Gatunos that usually takes place in mid-April each year.
The festival is named after the most famous prison, and the tuna's costume revolves around its name and what is associated with it.
Graphically, this edition symbolises the escape of the prisoners (the metralhas), represented by a ship inspired by the ship of Vila do Conde which, along with Póvoa de Varzim, is one of the cities that saw the birth of this tuna.
